These terms apply when you use the Flight Focus app for iPhone, including test versions, and this website (together, "Flight Focus"). By using Flight Focus, you agree to them. "We" and "us" mean Zekun Zhi, who makes Flight Focus. Our Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled.

The app

The app is licensed to you through the App Store, or through Apple's TestFlight while testing, under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms add to that agreement.

Buying Flight Focus

Flight Focus is sold through the App Store. Apple handles payment, and Apple's terms cover refunds: you can ask Apple for one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Prices may change, for example when a launch discount ends. A price change doesn't affect what you've already paid.

Test versions

Test versions through TestFlight are free and unfinished. They may have bugs, change without notice, or stop working when a test ends. Apple's TestFlight terms also apply. If you send us feedback, you agree that we may use it to improve Flight Focus, without owing you anything for it.

Flight information is for interest only

• Flight Focus is not for navigation, flight planning or any safety or operational purpose.
• Live aircraft positions and routes come from public flight-tracking services. They can be late, incomplete or wrong, aircraft can disappear from view, and coverage varies by place and time of day. Live flights may sometimes be unavailable.
• Don't rely on Flight Focus for travel, such as checking when a flight lands or when to meet someone at the airport. Check with the airline or airport instead.
• Classic flights are illustrative reconstructions of historical journeys, based on published sources. Their routes, timings and details are approximate.
• Airline names, aircraft types and similar details are shown for information only. Flight Focus isn't affiliated with or endorsed by any airline, airport or aircraft maker.

The focus timer

The timer runs on your iPhone and doesn't depend on the flight. Whether a reminder reaches you depends on your iPhone's notification and Focus settings, so don't rely on Flight Focus where a missed or late reminder could cause harm.

Using Flight Focus fairly

Don't:

• copy, sell, rent or redistribute the app or its content, except as the law allows;
• take the app apart or reverse engineer it, except as the law allows;
• use automated tools to extract information from Flight Focus, or use it in a way that overloads or disrupts the services it relies on;
• use Flight Focus to break the law or to harm, harass or track other people.

Other services and websites

Maps come from Apple Maps, under Apple's terms. Live flight information comes from other services under their own terms, and we don't control them. Flight Focus links to other websites, such as the sources for classic flights. We aren't responsible for their content.

Our content

Flight Focus, including its design, icon, illustrations and text, such as the classic flight write-ups, belongs to us and is protected by law. Other names and marks belong to their owners. Apple, iPhone and TestFlight are trademarks of Apple Inc.

No guarantees

We work hard to make Flight Focus reliable, but it's provided "as is" and "as available", to the extent the law allows. We don't promise that it will always be available or free of errors, or that flight information will be accurate. We may change, add or remove features, including live flights.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits or opportunities, arising from your use of Flight Focus. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to what you paid for Flight Focus.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or takes away your rights as a consumer where you live, such as consumer guarantees.

Ending

You can stop using Flight Focus at any time by deleting the app. We may stop offering Flight Focus, or parts of it, with reasonable notice where we can.

Changes

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and explain changes that matter in the app's update notes. Using Flight Focus after a change means you accept the new terms.
