How do I join the beta?
On your iPhone, open the public beta link: it opens TestFlight, Apple's free app for trying betas. Get TestFlight from the App Store if you don't have it, then tap Accept and Install. You need an iPhone with iOS 26 or later.
How do I send feedback from the beta?
Take a screenshot in Flight Focus, tap the screenshot, then tap Share Beta Feedback. Or open TestFlight, choose Flight Focus and tap Send Beta Feedback. If the app crashes, TestFlight may ask whether to share the report; sharing it helps us fix the problem. Email works too.
Focusing
Does the timer stop if the flight lands or loses signal?
No. Your timer runs on its own, so a landing, a lost signal or closing the app won't end or reset your session.
Why can't I find a live flight?
How many aircraft you see depends on the city and the time of day, and live flight services are sometimes busy. Try another city, try again shortly, or choose a classic flight, which works without a connection.
Will I be told when a session ends?
Yes, if you allow notifications. You can change this in the Settings app, under Notifications ▸ Flight Focus. A Focus mode on your iPhone may also hold reminders back.
Can I keep the screen on while I focus?
Yes. In Flight Focus, open Settings and turn on Keep screen awake while focusing.
Which iPhones does Flight Focus run on?
Any iPhone with iOS 26 or later, including iPhone Duo, on both displays and in every pose. Flight Focus isn't available for iPad.
Your data
Where is my data stored?
Only on your iPhone. There's no account, and Flight Focus doesn't use your location. See the Privacy Policy.
How do I clear my flight log?
Open the Flight log and tap Clear flight log. Deleting the app also deletes your flight log, favourites and settings.
Buying Flight Focus
How do I get a refund?
Apple handles purchases from the App Store, so refunds come from Apple. Ask for one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Do I need to buy it again on a new iPhone?
No. Sign in with the same Apple Account and download Flight Focus again from the App Store.
Maps and flight information
Maps and satellite imagery come from Apple Maps. Live aircraft come from public flight-tracking services, and you'll find their credits in the app, under Settings ▸ Sources & privacy. Classic flights are illustrative reconstructions based on published sources, which each flight links to.
